The Platform enables registered restaurant establishments to manage digital menus, orders, QR ordering, billing interfaces, kitchen coordination, and related operations. DineDash acts as a technology service provider. Each restaurant operates independently and remains responsible for food preparation, service quality, allergen information, hygiene, dining facilities, restaurant pricing, and customer-facing restaurant services.
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how TreeDevelopers Technologies Private Limited, operating the DineDash platform (“DineDash” or the “Platform”), collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal and technical information when the Platform is accessed at https://dinedash.treedevelopers.com/. The Platform includes restaurant management dashboards, QR ordering interfaces, kitchen display screens, billing interfaces, and associated communication channels.
This Policy applies to restaurant owners and authorized staff, customers and diners using restaurant QR menus, and visitors accessing public pages, login screens, or support forms. Information is handled in accordance with applicable Indian law.
2. About DineDash and Its Services
DineDash is a multi-tenant restaurant technology system providing real-time table QR-code ordering for seated and walk-in diners; restaurant menu, category, variant, and add-on management; kitchen order ticketing and kitchen status screens; counter billing, invoice generation, and GST itemization; restaurant sales reports, order archives, and analytics; and transactional notifications through WhatsApp where configured for restaurant accounts.
3. Information Collected
A. Name and Contact Information
Customers may provide a name, mobile number, and email address when using ordering or related Platform features. Restaurant owners may provide a legal or operating name, business email address, authorized mobile number, and account credentials. Account credentials are used to authenticate access.
B. Restaurant Business Details
Restaurant trade name, branch address, contact telephone number, contact email, GSTIN where configured for tax invoices, FSSAI licence information where provided, and uploaded restaurant logos or graphics.
C. Customer Order and Dining Details
Table number and assigned table identifier; ordered menu items, serving sizes, variants, add-ons, quantities, and prices; order timestamps and dining-session status; kitchen fulfilment status; and order history and itemized bills associated with a dining session.
D. Payment and Transaction Records
For customer food orders, the Platform may record payment mode and settlement status as entered or updated by restaurant staff. Customer food-order payments are settled directly between the customer and restaurant. For DineDash subscriptions, the Platform may retain payment gateway references, order IDs, invoice IDs, selected plan, billing cycle, payment status, amount, currency, and timestamps associated with Razorpay transactions.
DineDash does not require customers to provide full payment-card credentials through the restaurant ordering interface. Subscription payment credentials are processed through Razorpay. Payment information actually stored by the payment provider is governed by the provider’s terms and privacy notice.
E. Technical and Device Information
When the Platform is accessed, technical information such as browser type, operating system, access timestamps, and IP address may be recorded in server access and security logs for service operation, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and security.
4. How Information Is Collected
Information is collected when a customer enters contact details on an ordering interface, when a restaurant owner or authorized staff member manages a profile, menu, or settings, when a customer scans a QR code or adds items to a cart, when an order is transmitted to the restaurant, through necessary server and session operations, and through authorized integrations such as Razorpay payment notifications and WhatsApp messaging services.
5. How Information Is Used
Information is used to create and secure accounts; manage restaurant profiles and menus; transmit orders and coordinate kitchen operations; generate bills and maintain order records; support customer service and technical troubleshooting; manage subscriptions, renewal reminders, feature access, and payment confirmations; send transactional WhatsApp notifications; prevent fraud and misuse; diagnose errors; and improve Platform security and performance.
6. Information Sharing and Disclosure
DineDash does not sell personal information. Information may be shared where reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Platform:
- Restaurants: customer contact details, table information, and order details are made available to the restaurant associated with the QR code or ordering session for order preparation, billing, and service.
- Payment Provider: Razorpay processes DineDash subscription payments and provides transaction status information.
- Messaging Provider: Meta and WhatsApp services process messages where transactional WhatsApp notifications are enabled for restaurant accounts.
- Hosting and Technology Providers: service providers supporting hosting, databases, application operation, security, and media storage may process information as necessary to provide the Platform.
- Legal Authorities: information may be disclosed to competent authorities, courts, or regulators where required by applicable law or valid legal process.
7. Payments and Financial Information
Customer food-order payments are settled directly between the customer and the restaurant using the payment methods accepted by that restaurant. DineDash subscription payments are processed through Razorpay. DineDash may retain subscription transaction references, payment status, amount, currency, and timestamps for billing, reconciliation, support, and fraud prevention. Payment credentials are handled by the applicable payment provider under its security practices and terms.
8. Cookies, Sessions, and Similar Technologies
DineDash may use necessary cookies and browser local or session storage to maintain secure logins, preserve restaurant and table context, support active ordering sessions, and remember dashboard interface preferences. These technologies support core Platform functionality and security. Restricting cookies or browser storage may affect some Platform features.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Personal and operational records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, maintain business and transaction records, protect security, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal requirements. Restaurants may retain order records and invoices for their own operational, accounting, and statutory purposes. Account and subscription records may be retained for the duration of the relationship and for a reasonable period afterward where necessary for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Requests concerning personal information may be sent to the contact details in this Policy. A request may be subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
10. Information Security
TreeDevelopers Technologies Private Limited uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Information transmitted through the Platform should use secure HTTPS connections. Access controls and other safeguards are used where appropriate. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Restaurant account holders are responsible for protecting their login credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
11. Children’s Privacy
DineDash is a restaurant technology platform and is not designed to create independent accounts for children. A parent, guardian, or accompanying adult should ensure that any child’s personal information submitted through an ordering interface is necessary and appropriately provided. 12. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party services, including Razorpay for subscription payments and Meta/WhatsApp services for messaging. Hosting, infrastructure, and media providers may also support Platform operation. Third-party providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy notices. DineDash does not control independent third-party services.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
